Aiding in the fight against
Parkinson's

I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
MATTHEW 25:36
The Heslin Family Foundation joined the fight against Parkinson’s in 2020, supporting reputable organizations that provide resources and help to those suffering from Parkinson's.

Whether you have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease yourself or you know someone else who has, if you have been touched by its effects, you know how terrible this disease can be. It diminishes one’s quality of life severely, and can make even the most basic tasks and responsibilities impossible. There are tools and therapies available that can improve the life of someone living with Parkinson’s, but not everyone has the means to acquire those.

As an organization, we are passionate about filling in the gaps for those suffering with Parkinson’s Disease. We focus on supporting organizations that help people live well, despite their diagnosis. In addition, we support individuals with Parkinson’s who cannot afford quality medical care. We can’t cure their disease, but we can make their lives better by providing access to life-changing treatments.

Founder • Heslin Family Foundation

Matthew Heslin, our founder and chairman, was struck with Parkinson’s Disease when he was just 45 years old.

But while he was living with the ravaging effects of this horrific disease, his doctors misdiagnosed him, and he was left to suffer daily with no explanation of what had gone wrong with his brain and body. Finally, in 2020, he was officially diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s Disease.

Matthew quickly assembled a world class team of specialists to explore cutting edge techniques to treat his illness so he could live a more normal life. Matthew lives daily with this disease. He knows what it is like to suffer. That is the reason the Heslin Family Foundation has made it a priority to help those who don’t have the resources to obtain excellent care.

If you have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and can’t afford quality medical care, reach out to us. We have a big heart for you!
